The Environment – The Number One Threat To Human Existence!

We often watch Australian Story on the TV. This program details brave people who defy the odds of survival or make a significant difference to the world we live in. Readers will be aware that I am on a crusade to inform the world that we have a serious environmental problem, and for our children’s future we need to all stand up and do something about the situation.

Pristine Wilderness Not So Pristine

Tasmania has long been known as one of the last places on earth where you can freely roam in pristine wilderness. Some believe that the case against damming the Franklin River brought down the Australian government back in the early 1980s and today no government would even consider doing this. So it was quite a surprise to learn that St Helens, a small town on the East Coast of Tasmania has made the news for all the wrong reasons.

This small village has a very special Doctor, who in her past was credited with starting the dialogue to end the Faukland Island’s war in South America! She discovered that in the last few years many of her patients were getting ill in a community that was previously really healthy. The local Oyster farmers found their Oysters were getting deformities as well, so she decided to investigate the cause. A sample of the water entering the local catchment area demonstrated the water supply was toxic enough to kill organisms, even when there was no substantial rain.

Authorities Don’t Care

So why would a river in pristine Tasmania be full of deadly toxins? Well, in the hills there are forest plantations and timber workers spray toxic chemicals from helicopters on their crops. Environmental scientists put together a report and the Tasmanian Government and the AMA (Australian Medical Association) not only ignored the evidence, but went to great trouble to discredit all involved. Meanwhile the people St Helens continue to get sicker.

Enter the Tasmanian Devil.

These amazing creatures are native to Tasmania and have been getting mouth cancer for some time now. Everyone assumed it was a virus, but is it? There is extensive logging all over the island, despite protests from green groups. It would appear that the cancer may well be caused by toxic chemicals in the ground water from the logging industry.

Sydney Harbour Slowly Killing Fishermen

If you are still not convinced, let’s take a look at Sydney Harbour. When I was a child, I used to fish there with my dad. We would take our catch home and mum would cook us a meal of fresh fish. There used to be a few families fishing commercially in the harbor – but not anymore! You see members of these families started getting inexplicable illnesses and tests showed high levels of dioxin in the water. Many are battling serious health conditions now.

Not so long ago, Heavy Metals were found in the Sydney catchment area. The area west of the Blue Mountains is world heritage listed, and again considered pristine wilderness. A century ago there were gold mines in the area, and it appears that mercury, lead and other toxic metals are now seeping into Sydney’s drinking water. Of course when this story emerged, the authorities denied it and said we were all safe!

This Is A Disturbing World Wide Trend

In the 21^st Century we have a serious problem. Everyone knows that cancer is reaching alarming proportions, as are diabetes and allergies, especially in children. I imagine each person reading this article knows someone with cancer. Only this week, a healthy friend I play Tennis with was given a death sentence. This is really alarming and is unlikely to improve any time soon. If this is happening in Australia, a relatively clean country, what is it like in the rest of the world?

Red Symonds is an Australian media personality and ex rock star. Everyone in this country knows him. His son, Samuel was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor at age 4, after his bed was placed next to an Electrical Substation. Actions You Can Take – Now!

• First I would stay well away from mobile phone towers and high voltage power lines. Place your beds away from electricity lines.
• Next I would eat as little processed food as practicable. There are no requirements to label levels of toxins on any food. If they did, we wouldn’t be able to eat!
• Make sure you have a high quality water filter in your home. Personally I am very happy with the wellness filter and they have just released a new model which is even better.
• Get the toxins out of your body before they do any more damage. I really hope that you can see from this information presented here that we are all toxic. This is fact, not fiction or scare mongering.
